What Deontay Wilder said about Andy Ruiz and his body transformation ahead Anthony Joshua fight
WBC champion, Deontay Wilder has showered praises on Andy Ruiz over his amazing body transformation.
Andy Ruiz hit the gym to burn some fat and lose his chubby look ahead of his title defence against Anthony Joshua.
Recall that he defeat Anthony Joshua in June to became the IBO, IBF, WBO and WBA title holder.
A second bout has been slated for December 7 in Saudi Arabia and dubbed Clash of the Dunes.
Ahead of the fight, Andy Ruiz posted a picture on social media to show his amazing transformation to the amazement of Deontay Wilder.
Asked if he is backing Ruiz Jr to win, Wilder told Sky Sports: “I am. Ruiz Jr has all the motivation and confidence that he needs from the first fight.
“I don’t think he is one to dwell after obtaining a little taste of success. This is just the beginning, especially when you become a champion.
“You’ve got to stay hungry. My man Marvin Hagler said you can’t get out of bed in silk pyjamas, but with the win, it was a big boost, and he has the Mexican people around him.”
Wilder I expected to face either of Joshua or Ruiz, but he prefers a fight with Ruiz which he says would be a bigger one.
