Wesley Snipes has reacted to the proposal for a remake of the 1991 hit movie New Jack City.
According to Wesley Snipes who started as Nino Brown, the movie should just be left without being followed up with a sequel.
He also revealed that he was approached to star in the remake but turned the offer down.
“I’m not associated with it, you know. I have nothing to do with it at all. I think some things should be left alone…if it worked at the time under the circumstances. And the story was built around things that are current. I don’t particularly like the idea of recreating the drug culture. For what? […] I don’t know. They actually talked to me about doing it and I told them no. If I had a dime for every time I’ve said no. It’s a done deal, it’s a wrap.”
However, Wesley Snipes will be starring in the remake of Coming To America, a blockbuster movie which featured Eddie Murphy.
