That Katheryn Winnick and Travis Fimmel reunion is finally happening as they set the Vikings cast to reunite ahead of the series finale.

That’s right, the last season of the History Channel hit is almost upon us and it looks as though the stars of the show will dish up what’s coming at the San Diego Comic-Con this year.

All over video call, of course.

Following the coronavirus pandemic, the annual event has decided to still go ahead

but this year everything will be from home to help stall the spread of Covid-19.

And what better way to get fans in the mood for the last instalment of the historical saga

than getting the cast (both old and new) to come together during a global crisis.

Katheryn, who plays Lagertha, teased the announcement on Instagram where she shared the event’s poster before writing:

‘The Vikings gang is back together!

Who’s ready for this year’s Virtual Comic-Con Panel?’

And Clive Standen, who joined the series as Rollo, also confirmed the news, adding:

‘We’re putting the War Band back together!

‘Join me and these other ugly mugs…plus Katheryn and Micheal for the San Diago @comic_con

at Home Vikings panel on the #SDCC YouTube channel.’

Right on cue, fans were quick to comment and celebrated the reunion.

Has Bjorn made it through to the last season? ‘Omgggg whattttt???’ one wrote

While another said: ‘So excited. This show made my life.’

Someone else felt the same and couldn’t help but point out Travis’ appearance, adding: ‘Ahhh Ragnar!’

Season 6A left fans on all the cliffhangers after Lagertha was killed by Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø)

and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) was presumably murdered by his brother Ivar The Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen).

However, a recent trailer for the upcoming episodes looks as though Bjorn is pulled from the grave for one last fight against the fallen king.

And we don’t have long to wait now until we find out the warrior’s fate, as Vikings are set to return to the History Channel and Amazon Prime Video later this year.
