Movie director, Tyler Perry is turning Atlanta into the new Hollywood by opening his magnificient studios in the city.
Tyler Perry opened a 330-acre filming complex in Atlanta this past weekend drawing almost all top black celebrities to the spot.
The studios is not exclusive to his works alone as any production company can make use of the facility too. Parts of the blockbuster movie Black Panther was shot in the Tyler Perry Studios.
The studios boasts of a replica of the White House and also the house lived by Madea, a character played by Tyler Perry in one of his movies.
The Tyler Perry Studios also boasts of hotels, hospitals and even a prison.
The facility has 12 sound stages each named after black entertainers including Denzel Washington, Oprah, Will Smith and more.
Beyonce reacted to the breath-taking state of the art studios saying, “Generations of blood, sweat and tears, success, excellence and brilliance. It makes me so proud, so full, I could not stop crying.”
Giving a speech, Tyler Perry revealed that he decided to open the studios in a poor neighborhood so that young black kids can see that a black man successfully built something great.
He also said “while everyone was fighting for a seat at the table, I was in Atlanta building my own”.
