Transcorp speaks on building on fire, reveals what really happened
The fire reported to have engulfed Transcorp building in Lagos has been debunked as false by the company.
Social media reports stated that Transcorp building was on fire on October 26 in Ikoyi Lagos.
However, the company has come out to state that it was the building beside theirs that was caught by fire.
A statement issued reads:
”IMPORTANT NOTICE Fire Incident at our Neighbour’s Building, Adjoining our Head Office
On Saturday 26th October 2019 there was a fire incident at the building next to our Headquarters located at 38 Glover Road, Ikoyi Lagos”.
The company continued:
“We had limited damage to the adjoining parts of the building but there was no loss of vital documents. Equally, no injury was sustained by any personnel on ground. The Lagos State Fire Service, the UBA Fire Service and Julius Berger worked with our team to quell the situation”.
