Tottenham have potentially been dealt a double injury blow, as Giovani Lo Celso and Erik Lamela missed the clash with Southampton.
Spurs have not been the most fortunate with injuries so far this season.
Summer signing Tanguy Ndombele struggled with his fitness early on in the season, while midfield partner Moussa Sissoko has also suffered a long-term injury.
The biggest injury of them all comes in the form of Harry Kane’s hamstring problem.
It originally looked as though he could miss the remainder of the season, and could even have not been ready for the European Championships this summer.
Though, Jose Mourinho admitted on Wednesday that Kane could return for the Leicester game on May 9.
Despite that boost, Mourinho now has two new injury problems.
Spurs announced ahead of their clash with Southampton that both Giovani Lo Celso and Erik Lamela had suffered injuries.
As explained on their social media accounts, Lo Celso has suffered a thigh injury.
Meanwhile, Lamela missed the game against Southampton having suffered a groin injury.
Details on those injuries are yet to be announced, with the timescale of their problems still unknown.
However, it will be a blow for Jose Mourinho regardless.
In a separate report from Football London, they claim that Lo Celso’s injury ‘is not believed to be serious’.
