Three medical doctors tests positive for COVID-19 in Lagos
On Thursday, three medical doctors have tested positive to Coronavirus in Lagos State, confirmed by the Medical Guild of Nigeria.
Furthermore, the three doctors tested positive at the Alimosho General Hospital and Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja.
Also, Mr. Oluwajimi Sodipo and Dr Ismail Ajibowo, the Chairman and the Secretary of the Medical guild respectively, disclosed this on Thursday in Lagos, NAN reports.
Furthermore, the Medical Guild warned medical doctors against attending to patients without adequate PPE, stressing that all patients were COVID-19 suspects.
Also, they revealed that the three doctors admitted at different isolation facilities in Lagos for treatment in stable condition.
According to the medical Guild;
“Three doctors at Alimosho General Hospital and Lagos State University
Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, tested positive to Coronavirus.
“Since the incident, we have been working with our representatives in
those centres, and the Medical Directors of the facilities to ensure testing of those involved.
“This is with a plan for care in the unfortunate incident of positive cases,” the statement read in part.
