South Africa begins door-to-door testing of COVID-19 during lockdown
Public healthcare sector in South Africa has dispersed their workers into the street to begin door-to-door testing of Coronavirus.
The workers armed with their screening questionnaires and testing kits set up their testing station on the streets.
Furthermore, a nurse who spoke to AFP said they are asking residents to come out for tests and screening.
In her words:
“They’ve been coming for screening and they are even open to testing if they have symptoms,”
Furthermore, South Africa is already in a 21 days lockdown and now embarking on widespread testing.
The campaign involves over 10,000 field workers and they are sent out into homes to screen for symptoms.
