Seun Kuti slams ASUU over their silence on sex for grades scandal
Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti has called out the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, over their silence on the BBC sex for grades documentary.
According to Seun Kuti, ASUU needs to stop feigning ignorance and speak up in the matter which affects students.
”ASUU leaders make una no pretend like say una no hear all this noise about una members accused of #SexForGrades in our universities. If na una money struggle now, una go expect both activists and students to rise and fight for una. Now the students need una to rise and fight for them too”.

The sex for grades documentary by BBC exposed lecturers of the University of Lagos and the University of Ghana, showing them sexually harassing female students.
Reacting to the video, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu, the UNILAG lecturer who appeared in the video issued the below statement.
“I work for the University of Lagos; if you want any reaction, talk to the university.” “Contact the information unit and they will tell you the correct position. “If I talk, I will be running foul of the varsity law. Don’t put unnecessary pressure on me to say beyond what I have said,” Igbeneghu added.
