Power series star, Rotimi has condemned the xenophobic attacks taking place in South Africa which affected mostly Nigerians.
In a tweet, Rotimi who is born to Nigerian parents expressed shock at the level of self hate inspired by brainwashing.
Calling for an end to the xenophobic attacks, Rotimi tweets:
“I NEVER understood the brain washing that would lead us to self hate. What’s happening in South AFRICA is both SICK & deeply hurtful. We need to unite!! We need to release hate!! We need to love our brothers & sisters. #EndXenophbia”
Meanwhile, South Africans on social media have revealed the reason why they are carrying out xenophobic attacks on foreigners in their country.
Videos and pictures are currently trending on social media showing properties e.g houses, cars and shops, owned by foreigners getting burnt.
Also, the videos show foreigners getting chased across the streets, beaten and burnt alive by South Africans.
Tweets from South Africans about the xenophobic attacks have shown that the people are fed up with the crimes allegedly perpetrated by foreigners in their country. CONTINUE READING HERE
