PDP releases video of alleged APC supporters destroying their secretariat (video)
On Saturday, February 15, the opposition party released a video alleging APC supporters acted under the instruction of its national chairman, This came after the Supreme Court sacked Bayelsa APC’s governor-elect and declared PDP’s candidate winner Following the judgment of the Supreme Court’s on Thursday, February 13.
PDP has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of mobilizing its supporters to vandalize its secretariat in Bayelsa state.
PDP on Saturday, February 15, released a video on its official Twitter page alleging that supporters of the APC reportedly vandalized the secretariat following an order from its national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Recall that INEC had declared Senator Duoye Diri the governor of Bayelsa after the Supreme Court’s verdict which sacked APC’s candidate David Lyon.

Media previously reported that the Nigerian police declared three-day dusk to dawn curfew in Bayelsa state over the violence that trailed the Supreme Court ruling which sacked the APC’s elected candidate and his deputy.
The state commissioner of police who made the announcement on Friday, February 14, stated that the curfew will last between 8 pm – 6 am for three days.
In a related development, APC has insisted that PDP’s candidate in the Bayelsa governorship election, Douye Diri, did not have the constitutional requirements to be declared the state’s governor.
The APC national chairman in an appeal letter sent to INEC, said his party confirmed the supremacy of the apex court’s judgement but insisted Diri did not meet the requirement the court stated.
In other news, members of the PDP governors’ forum have sent their congratulatory message to Duoye Diri over the Supreme Court ruling in Bayelsa. On behalf of the PDP governors, the director-general of the forum said that “the verdict of the court proves that God is in charge of the affairs of men.”
