Nigerians slam ASUU for threatening strike after rejecting IPPIS
Nigerians have expressed their anger against the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, over their rejection of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System, IPPIS.
One of those who reacted to the threat of strike action by ASUU is a Social Media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie.
”A University Lecturer should be committed to one Institution that pays him monthly. He can support another university on a small scale as a consultant. Working full time in many universities at a time, is the reason they churn out graduates with no skills. There’s no commitment.
”The reason ASUU is fighting the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) is that many Lecturers dash from one university to another as full time Lecturers. The IPPIS will expose those with multiple full time jobs”.
Below are reactions from Nigerian who believe that the threat of strike action by ASUU is fueled by selfish interest.
