Kidnapper of a missing boy in Akure church has eventually gotten apprehended
One Similar Chubuzor, who is believed to be the abductor of a one-year-old boy, Gold Kolawole, has been apprehended by the Ondo State Police Command.
It was reported around last year that little Kolawole was kidnaped in November during a Sunday service at the children section of Sotitobire Praising Chapel, at Oshinle area of Akure, the Ondo state capital.
Afterward, the church owner Prophet Alfa Babatunde was apprehended by the men of the Department of State Services and he is presently standing prosecution at a magistrates’ court.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph, while corroborating the arrest, said the 39-year-old suspect, who adopted the little boy alleged to still have the baby in his possession in Akure.
Furthermore, verifying this development, the solicitor for Babatunde, Mr. Sola Oke, said the suspect was apprehended in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he ran away to.
Oke claimed that the suspect perpetrated the offence to incriminate Babatunde in the matter.
He called on the police command to execute a detailed examination of the matter.
