Inmates in US prison work as fire fighters (Video)
The inmates in the video below are fighting the fires saving pets, homes, and people.
When they are released from prison, they will be unable to work as firefighters because of their conviction.
Every day in the United States, over a million people go to work and make as little as two cents an hour or sometimes nothing at all.
The plantations went corporate and the slaves became inmates.
This is allowed by our 13th amendment which states:
“Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”
Did you know this? Did you know companies like Walmart, Macy’s, Verizon, Exxon, Bank of America and many more pay inmates nothing to pennies on the dollar for packaging, customer service, manufacturing and whatever else they can get done without paying an honest wage.
