He hasn’t dribbled past anyone in 3 years – Fabio Capello slams Cristiano Ronaldo

Legendary football manager, Fabio Capello has slammed Cristiano Ronaldo for his attitude after he was substituted during Juventus game against AC Milan on Sunday.

Ronaldo walked straight out of the stadium after he was substituted with Paulo Dybala who came on to score.

The Portuguese was substituted due to an injury he was nursing. He walked out of the stadium without acknowledging his teammates.

However, his attitude didn’t sit well with Fabio Capello who stated that he ought to have acted like a champion with the decision of the coach.

‘[Cristiano] is a great champion, nobody argues with that, but he hasn’t dribbled past anyone in the last three years,’ Capello told Sky Sport Italia.

‘At the moment he isn’t at his best and it is normal to replace him. Sarri doesn’t need to be brave or show his personality to make that change.

‘It’s not nice that he didn’t sit on the bench [after being taken off] and argued with Sarri.

‘One has to be a champion even when he is replaced, not only when things are going well. He must respect his team-mates.’
