At least 14 people were murdered by gunmen who raided a village in Nigeria’s northern state of Zamfara, a news agency recorded a police spokesman as saying.
An unidentified number of people were also harmed in the assault on Babban Rafi village in Gummi local government area of the state, said Mohammed Shehu, the spokesman for Zamfara state police.

Local sources said the gunmen rode on more than 40 motorcycles, firing everyone at sight. Livestock and some precious items which belong to the townies were also robbed by them.
