Femi Fani-Kayode has attacked Piers Morgan for a comment he made about former president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, who passed away yesterday.
It all started when the commander in chief of the Economic Freedom Fighter, Julius Sello Malema expressed how saddened he is by the news of Mugabe’s passing.
He tweeted: “I’m saddened by the passing of our martyr & giant of the African Revolution cde President Robert Mugabe. Let’s continue the fight & protect his legacy. We must not allow our enemies to tell us how to remember him; we know our heroes. May his soul rest in revolutionary peace”.
His post didn’t sit well with British TV personality, Piers Morgan, who stated that Mugabe ruined Zimbabwe and terrorised his people.
Piers Morgan tweeted: “Mugabe was a vile ruthless dictator who terrorised his own people & ruined Zimbabwe. That’s his legacy. The fact he’s your hero says all we need to know about YOU”.
Reacting to Piers Morgan’s post, Femi Fani-Kayode wrote:
“When will you grow up and stop this infantile nonsense? You need to get some sense.Nothing more vile than the legacy of the Brits in their former colonies. Then comes the slave trade& the millions they killed in India,Africa and ur native Ireland!Do u still wear women’s underwear?”
