DSS charge Sowore to court for treasonable felony
Omoyele Sowore has been charged to court by the Department for State Security, DSS, for treasonable felony and cyberstalking President Buhari and others.
Sowore who is currently in the DSS detention was arrested on August 3, 2019 in Lagos just a day to a Revolution Now protest who was organizing took place.
He has been charged alongside Olawale Mandate who was arrested in Osun State.
The charge against Sowore alleges that he was trying to transfer $16,000, acts of treason and attempting to cause chaos and overthrow the Nigerian government.
The Revolution Now protest which took place a day after he was arrested by the DSS, was aimed at demanding for good governance from public office holders in Nigeria.
Before now, Sowore was the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the 2019 presidential election in Nigeria.
