Court throws out Busola Dakolo’s case against Biodun Fatoyinbo, fines her 1 Million Naira
The case filed by Busola Dakolo against Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), has been thrown out by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Busola Dakolo had accused Fatoyinbo of raping her twice in Ilorin while she was a teenager. She made this known in an explosive interview released early this year.
The allegation was denied by Fatoyinbo who stated that he never raped anybody. This led to a suit against him filed by Busola Dakolo which counsel to Fatoyinbo, Dr. Alex Izinyon (SAN), argued to be ungrantable by the court, frivolous and an abuse of court process.
Giving his verdict on the case, Justice Oathman A. Musa stated that the suit is an abuse of court process, empty, purely sentimental and aimed at cruelty than obtaining justice.
The court decided by issuing a fine of N1,000,000 against Busola Dakolo whom they said should have been fined ten times more for wasting the court’s time.
