Coronavirus: South Africa evacuates its citizens from Wuhan, China
South Africa evacuated about 121 of its citizens from China yesterday.
The evacuated citizens hot into the country on Saturday and they were accompanied by South African Airways and some members of the South African National Defense Force.
Furthermore, reports says they will isolated at the Ranch Hotel and Resort in Polokwane.
Police and some military personnel are stationed already at the place earlier in the week.
The South African government received requests from his citizens living in Wuhan to moved back to South Africa.
Zweoi Mkhixze made an announcement that 24 persons have tested positive to the virus so far in the country.
He stated on Saturday that:
“At this point I wish to also bring it to your attention that there are more positive results that have come out.
The NICD and NHLS are now verifying the information and these results. Thereafter we will make a formal announcement,” explained Mkhize in his statement.
