Breaking: Togo confirms first case of Coronavirus today
Togo has joined the list of African countries to confirm case of coronavirus.
The country confirmed it’s first case today Friday, March 6, 2020.
The government said in an official statement that the patient is a 42-year-old woman living in Lomé.
However, her nationality not yet disclosed.
The patient, before diagnosed, had visited Benin, Germany, France and Turkey in late February and early March.
Furthermore, the patient isolated and receiving treatment. Authorities say she currently in a stable condition.
It said the country has been “taking active surveillance measures” along its borders.
