BREAKING: Test Multichoice CEO for COVID-19, Reps tell NCDC
The Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC) has been ordered by the Federal House of Representatives to find and conduct a test on Dr. John Ugbe, the Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice, for COVID-19.
According to sources, the head of the House on Digital Satelite Television, DSTV, Hon. Idem Unyime gave the directive.
Hon. Unyime gave the ruling on behalf of the House at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
The lawmaker while passing the decision, also asked NCDC to start contact-tracing immediately of the passengers
he was within the plane and his staff alongside people he has also come across at the airport.

The resolution of the committee arose from the second letter written by Ugbe to the Committee stated that he could not appear because he’s has come down with an illness after he arrived in Abuja on Tuesday for the meeting.
The letter signed by Gozie Onumonon, Head: Regulatory Affairs, for the Multichoice CEO, reads in part:
“Because of the abundance of caution needed to be taken in line with the current pandemic,
we believe it is necessary that the meeting be deferred until he has regained his health and is cleared by his medical doctor. ”
