An application challenging the detention of Revolution Now convener, Omoyele Sowore, has been dismissed by a Federal Court in Abuja, today the 28th of August, 2019.
According to the presiding judge, Evelyn Mata, hearing the application would mean a review of the order which directed the Department for State Security, DSS, to detain Sowore.
Sowore is currently being held in DSS custody after he was arrested a day before a protest he planned to stage in demand of good governance from public office holders.
According to the Federal Government, the protest tagged Revolution Now is only a ploy to topple the government of President Buhari.
Sowore is also accused of receiving millions of dollars from foreigners who want him to help destabilize the country.
