AFCON: Nigerian Super Eagles Knocks Out Defending Champions Cameroon to Qualify for Quarter Finals
Super Eagles of Nigeria have knocked out defending champions, Cameroon from the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Egypt after winning them 3 – 2 to qualify for Quarter-finals.
Nigeria took the lead, when Odion Ighalo scored in the 28th minute. Cameroon later equalised and overtook the super eagles with two goals from Stephane Bahoken and Clinton N’Jie in the 41 and 44 minutes.
The comeback goal came in the 63 minutes after Odion Ighalo found the net for the second time before Alex Iwobi then made it 3 – 2 in the 66 minutes.
The Super Eagles will now face either Egypt or South Africa in the quarter-finals.
