Abuja discharges 11 COVID-19 patients
The Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has discharged 11 COVID-19 patients.
FCT Minister, Muhammed Bello, made this known on Sunday via Twitter.
He said the new recoveries bring the total number of discharged patients in the capital city to 173.
He said, “I am pleased to announce the successful treatment and discharge of 11 COVID-19 patients from the Isolation and Treatment Centre in the FCT.
“The total number of discharged patients in the FCT is now 173, as at May 30th, 2020.”
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Abuja has recorded 616 infections and 17 associated deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC stated on Saturday night that Nigeria recorded 553 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total cases close to 10,000 in Nigeria.
The Centre noted that 2,856 patients have been discharged in the country upon recovery while 273 fatalities have been reported.
