Twenty suspects have been captured by men of the Lagos state police regarding the conflict between Okada riders and Police in Ijora, a suburb of Lagos state earlier today.
An announcement by Bala Elkana, who is the representative of the state police says the police got a trouble call that some hooligans equipped with cutlasses, suspected to be Okada riders and hooligans, hindered some significant streets around Ijora Oloye, AmusAmuseora 7up, Ijora under scaffold, Sifa intersection and Gaskiya territory all inside Ijora Badia Division.
Bala said the hooligans caused significant impediments on the streets, burning tires, stealing and taking from clueless street users.
According to the announcement, police from Ijora Badia, Area B Command, and Special Strike Force on Social Miscreants were quickly sent to the scenes. The circumstance was managed, and the obstacles were cleared which cleared road for traffic.
Bala said no life was lost during the difficulty.
He included that twenty suspects were captured and will be charged to court soon.
