2 Taraba Staff of Population Commission That Was Abducted Has Regain Freedom
Five days after kidnappers abducted two abducted staffers of the Taraba state National Population Commission (NPC), they have regained freedom, security men, and family sources have said.

Ascertaining their release, the Federal Commissioner of the commission for Taraba, Sani Sule Sale, while speaking to journalists in Jalingo said two boundaries of the National Population Commission (NPC) were kidnapped five days ago in Dan-Anacha, in Gassol LGA as part of a team working under NPC’s routine enumeration area demarcation (EAD) exercise in preparation for the national census.
‘’ All praise and glory be to God, they were released Tuesday night January 14th, 2020 the period of the captivity was a tough time for them and their primary families and the entire NPC,’’ said he.
He added that the minute the NPC was informed about their kidnapping last week Friday through a telephone call to his office by the abductor, they swung into action and called relevant councils.
He stated that the security agencies in the state were effectively mobilized to ensure they noted the discharge.
He said the NPC went into serious negotiation with the kidnappers for their safety and quick release.
“ It was, on the whole, a very long, tedious and stressful process, sometimes promising and at the other time, very frustrating indeed.
