Dabota Lawson, a former beauty queen and beauty entrepreneur, has opened up about her failed marriage to billionaire, Prince Sunny Aku.
In an interview with TVC ‘Your View’, Dabota disclosed that her parents were exceedingly thrilled to have her back and did not inquire about her collapsed marriage.
She mentioned that nobody wanted to trouble her about it, which is why they refrained from interrogating her.
Dabota revealed that her ex-husband reached out to her, acknowledged his shortcomings, and apologized to her.
However, she has moved beyond that phase and is not emotionally invested in their previous life.
“My parents were so delighted to have me back, my father did not ask any questions and my mother did not…… Nobody really wanted to bother me about it. I simply went home and everything was fine.
He contacted me and expressed remorse for many things, but I have moved past that stage. I am not emotionally attached to that situation. I was able to forgive and we have been fine since then”.
Recall that Dabota Lawson got married in a highly publicized wedding to billionaire businessman, Prince Sunny Aku. Unfortunately, the marriage did not survive beyond one year, as the couple separated in 2015.

According to the Rivers-born former beauty queen, she started her business below the staircase of a mall, and her friends ridiculed her for divorcing a billionaire just to sell products in such a modest location.
She shared this on her Instagram page, recounting how she was mocked for not gaining anything from the marriage.
She wrote: “5 years ago, this was all I had as a business. This small spot under/near the staircase of a mall that so many people used to mock me because they believed I had left a billionaire and had nothing to show for it 😂😂 How time flies. It was such a humbling period in my life. A real low point. I don’t need to go into detail about where I am today so I don’t get carried away and may come across as boastful (you already know 😝). A reminder that no matter how difficult it gets, things can improve. Here’s to progress and achieving greatness. Lots of love to those who have consistently stood by me. God bless you”.

Hinting at the reason behind her divorce, Dabota Lawson had called out a previous beauty queen for having an affair with her ex-husband.
Taking to her Snapchat account to criticize her, she claimed that the lady had slept with her ex-husband and had asked her ‘homie’ (close male friend) if he was the father of her daughter.
The controversial divorced queen dropped a clue about the person in question, stating that the individual blew kisses in the comment section of her Instagram page.
