Do Not Reward Former Governors With Ministerial Position

President Bola Tinubu has been urged by Senator Shehu Sani not to reward ex-governors with ministerial positions.

In a tweet, Sani expressed his belief that it is unacceptable to appoint former governors, who embezzled funds from their states and left their citizens impoverished and indebted, to ministerial offices.

There are rumors circulating that Tinubu’s ministerial list will consist of former governors. As the National Assembly resumes, there is anticipation surrounding the release of the list.

Sani stated, “It would be highly unconscionable to consider rewarding or appointing former governors, who plundered their states and plunged their people into poverty and debt, into positions of power.

“With two individuals in detention while the ex-ministers, ex-governors, and the remnants of the defunct cabal remain unaccounted for, it does not set a promising precedent for a fresh start,” he added.
