JAMB Desires To Bring Down My Daughter, Mmesoma’s Father Protests

Mr Romanus Ejikeme, father of Mmesoma Ejikeme Joy who was accused of falsifying her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) outcome by JAMB has alleged that the examination board is bent on suppressing his daughter.

During an interview, Mr Ejikeme expressed: “Nigeria and the entire world should be acquainted with the truth. JAMB is working against my daughter while simultaneously accusing her. I disapprove of it. It’s unjust. My daughter is innocent.

“Right from her early years in nursery school, she has consistently topped her class till now. She is highly dedicated to her studies. She doesn’t take her education lightly.”

When asked if he intends to take legal action, he responded: “We’re not taking any action, we’re simply entrusting everything to God.”

Mr Ejikeme, who works as a commercial motorcyclist, urged the government not to stifle his daughter’s talents. He disclosed that he is also a musician and reminisced about winning a singing competition in 1996, the same year Nigeria participated in the Atlanta Summer Olympics.

According to him, his mother discouraged him from pursuing music due to the negative consequences that come with fame.

“The same situation is befalling my daughter. Nigeria should not be an oppressor of talent”, he exclaimed.
