The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has declared Rt. Hon. Julius Ihonvbere (Edo) as the Majority Leader of the House and Rt. Hon. Usman Kumo (Gombe) as the Chief Whip.
Abbas also appointed Rt. Hon. Halims Abdulahi from Kogi as the Deputy Majority Leader and Rt. Hon. Oriyomi Onanuga from Ogun as the Deputy Chief Whip.
The Speaker likewise announced Rt. Hon. Kingsley Chinda (PDP, Rivers) as the Minority Leader; Hon. Ali Isah (Gombe) as the Minority Whip; Madaki Aliyu (NNPP, Kano) as the Deputy Minority Leader, and George Adegeye (LP, Lagos) as the Deputy Minority Whip.
Abbas made this announcement during the resumed plenary on Tuesday while reading letters from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the minority caucus.
