The demand for the sack of the governing council of Cross River State University
Calling upon Governor Bassey Otu, the University of Cross River State Alumni association has requested the dissolution of the governing council of the institution.
A communique was issued at the end of the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, and was signed by the National Secretary, Njang Ndoma.
The association has instructed its legal team to take immediate legal action to halt the funding of all activities and claims made by the governing council of the institution.
Accusing the council of incompetence, the alumni stated that it is straining the institution's finances by convening unnecessary meetings to obtain sitting allowances for its members at the expense of staff welfare.
